Under the Primary Schools in the 21st Century project (P21), KJCS will be receiving a new Library and Multi-Purpose Hall.
Planning and building approval has been granted for the new Library.
The contract has been signed with the builders and now the building is about to start. We are expecting the projects to be completed by late 2010 D.V.
The concrete pad was completed in February and now the building process is ready to commence.
Last week the Building C'tee (BC) had a meeting to discuss the progress updates on the Libraries and MPHs from each campus.
The Kelmscott BC members expect that the roof carpenters will finish the work within the next week. See below the updated photo of the Library's brickwork and roof trusses, it's looking great!!
It's expected that the Library will be completed July/August 2010.
A couple photos of the latest progress at the KJCS Library...
At a recent Building Commitee meeting it was reported that the roof was completed and ready for the tiles to be laid.
A busy bee was organised for Saturday 12th June so that volunteers and parents could help with the brick cleaning and outside painting (veranda & eaves).
